Mary Wray

Mary Wray has announced her candidacy for Eutaw City Council, District 1

Wray was born in Hale County, raised in Greene County, and attended Carver High School.

She attended the Milwaukee, WI, Area Technical College, majoring in education.

In 2005 she moved back to Greene County to take care of her mother, Louise Cross. “I feel God planted me here for a purpose,”  said Wray.

She is the mother of two children, a daughter who works in Atlanta, GA for the State of Georgia, and a son, who works for Orlando County, FL and also attends college. He will graduate in 2013 with a major in Industrial Management.

She said that attending Council meetings inspired her. “Seeing how things are conducted, I feel I an bring a new and different system to support our city,” said Wray
