I’m La’Jeffery Chris Carpenter and I’m running for the Eutaw City Council, District 2.
Running for public office is new to me. I would like to tell you a little about myself and why I am running for city council.
I am employed by the
City of Marion Police Department, Green Charity Bingo, and Greene County PARA.
I’m running for office because I know I’m prepared. I’ve been personally affected by the issues and I have strong love for my city. I want to bring my resources and my experiences to a city that really needs them.
I made my decision to run this past winter. My vision for Eutaw is to have responsible, knowledgeable policy makers – real leaders of the people who aren’t afraid to talk to the people.
We need leaders who put the peoples’ interests first and are also knowledgeable and able to make tough decisions and inspire and galvanize people to action.
My vision for Eutaw is to have a community where young people can maximize and realize their full potential.
Folks, our city has challenges. The solution to our challenges and opportunities is leadership! Our city now more than ever needs leaders, not more managers, not more consultants. Leadership is what it will take to get our community ready for the future.
In my experience, leaders are not afraid to ask why; leaders solve problems and lead by example; leaders know when to listen and when to follow and are not afraid to say, “I don’t know, but let me find out and I will get back with you.
Leaders have visions and want to know what the future looks like. I promise I will do everything I can to keep this campaign focused on the issues and out of the political clique.
Vote La’Jeffery Chris Carpenter for Eutaw City Council, District 2.
