The Black Belt Community Foundation (BBCF) will conduct a Community Awareness Grant Seekers Workshop in Eutaw on Thursday, March 15th at 5:30 pm, in the Greene County Courthouse located at 400 Morrow Avenue in Eutaw.
Community organizations based in and serving BBCF’s 12-county service area are eligible to apply. Those counties include Bullock, Choctaw, Dallas, Greene, Hale, Lowndes, Macon, Marengo, Perry, Pickens, Sumter and Wilcox.
Through the Grants Program, BBCF seeks to engage community leaders and regional nonprofit organizations to improve the environment, enhance educational opportunities, provide needed health services and opportunities for area youth, support the arts and community economic development, and provide for other areas of need identified by the communities.
The upcoming workshop will address the NEW requirements of the Grant Application. If you are considering submitting a grant application for either the Black Belt Arts Initiative (BBAI) Grant Cycle or the Community Grants Cycle, attendance at one of the Community Awareness Grant Seekers Workshops is MANDATORY for ALL APPLICANTS, including both new and returning organizations. There will be ONLY ONE SERIES OF WORKSHOPS for 2012.
Applications will be available at each of the workshops. The BBAI Grant Application deadline will be April 16, 2012 and the Community Grant Application deadline will be May 15, 2012.
For a schedule of other Black Belt area workshops or to discuss your project, please contact the BBCF office at 866-874-1126.
