On Thursday, February  9, 2012, Greene County Sheriff Jonathan Benison presented bingo distributions from Greenetrack, Inc and Green Bingo, two of the various licensed gaming establishments in the county. The monthly distribution from Green Bingo totaled $21,432.25.  The Greene County School Board received $4,822.26; the Greene County Commission received $8,572.90; the Sheriff’s department received $3,214.84; the City of Eutaw received $1,607.42; Town of Boligee, $1,071.61; Town of Forkland, $1,071.61; Town of Union, $1,071.61.

Greenetrack, Inc. presented its January bingo distribution to the Sheriff’s office on February 2, totaling $58,500.  Greenetrack’s January bingo distribution did not include a payment for the school system.

School Board CSFO Shane Martin stated, “The Greene County School System is greatly appreciative of the Sheriff writing us in. With the new school underway and the current economic condition, these funds will better aid the school system.”
