Dekenta Thompson

 

On May 27, at a graduation party at a local club, DeKenta Thompson shot and killed Trey Edmonds. According to law enforcement officers, the two had gotten into an argument at the party. When Edmonds left the club and was walking through the parking lot, Thompson pulled a loaded pistol from his belt and allegedly shot and killed Edmonds.

Thompson remains in the Greene County Jail. No bond has been set.

Other arrests by the Greene County Sheriff’s Department include:

5/28 – Holly McCarter, 21, of Forkland was arrested for FTA DUI and FTA unauthorized use of a vehicle.

2/19 – Erick Cox, 26, of Boligee was arrested for domestic violence assault.

5/29 – Joe Lewis Norman, 47, of Boligee was arrested for criminal mischief, harassment, menacing, vandalism and attempted arson.

Clero Croxton, 62, of Demopolis was arrested for FTA driving while suspended

Bonds issued by the Greene County Sheriff’s Department included:

5/27 – Willie Gee was released on a $5,000 bond for theft of property II.

5/22 – Terrance Amstead was released on a $2,000 bond for carrying a concealed weapon.

Incidents reported to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office included:

5/28 – The West Greene Fire Department reported vandalism of its parking lot.

5/28 – Shaundra Gibson reported domestic violence assault.

5/29 – Akeem Oliawola reported criminal mischief,

Eutaw Police Report

Willie Gee, 37, of California wa sarrested for theft of property II. Allegedly he stole some iron from the property behind the County Barn. Also involved in this theft was Eugene Wilson (Scamp) who escaped.

5/28 – Krikgistal Carlisle, 29, of York was arrested for FTA child restraint.

5/30 – Antoine Robinson, 21, of Eutaw was arrested for FTA speeding.

5/31 – Walter Browning, 52, of Moundville was arrested for FTA driving while revoked.

5/29 – Stanley Bridgeman, 23, of Eutaw was arrested for menacing,

5/30 – Sherry Croxton, 23, of Eutaw was arrested for FTA driving while revoked.

During the period between Friday, May 21 and Monday, May 30, 60 traffic citations were issued by Eutaw Police as part of a Memorial Day Detail.
